Introductory Sessions
May 23rd, 2008 | Published in Commentary for Sapiens
We’ll be running two introductory sessions to give people the chance to explore Emergent Game before they start to play.
Both are based in Birmingham, UK and both are free, drop-in sessions:
Workshop 1:
Monday 2nd of June
Rooty’s at the Custard Factory
Drop in between 4.30 and 7pm
Workshop 2:
Friday 6th of June
BCU Fine Art Department, Margaret St, City Centre (behind BM&AG)
Drop in between 2 and 4pm

We’ll be bringing a sack full of soft toys and an assortment of stuff for getting you started on their customisation. You’re invited to come along and take part either by modifying a toy and/or by joining us in devising and testing different street games that can be played with these toys, your mobile phone and a nearby internet connection… (You can switch between these two main activities as you please.)
This will be a great opportunity for you to catch up on what’s been happening in the game so far and, for those already playing, a chance to have a sneaky pop at influencing what might be included in The Game (which starts during the New Generation Arts Festival, 6th - 20th June) DON’T BRING YOUR EXISTING AVATARS!
All are welcome: you don’t need any specialist knowledge or skills, but a good sense of fun is essential.
